Meet Ruth
I'm proud to be a descendant of the Choctaw and Chickasaw Native American tribes in Oklahoma.
"Okla" meaning "people" and "Homma" meaning "red" in Choctaw. Although I no longer live in Oklahoma, I love that I’m from the ‘Red People’ state!
My family name (maiden name) is Hotubbee (Ho-tub-bee) meaning "to hunt and kill" in Choctaw.
I feel deeply connected to my Native American heritage and have a passion for incorporating natural, indigenous ingredients into my daily body care routine. It’s a way for me to honor and celebrate the culture and traditions of my ancestors, while also taking care of me and my family's skin health.
This passion is what led me to create this line of Natural Native handmade soaps. I hope you’ll enjoy using them as much as I've enjoyed creating them, as they bring a piece of my heritage into your daily routine.
